For my SP25 MFA Visual Narrative session, I chose to take "Writing for Tabletop RPGS" with Mark Sable. Over the course we explore many aspects of creating playable, entertaining, and robust modules in the system of our choice. The focus was on theory, writing, and application. We explored map making, dungeon building, mystery creations, town creation and much more. For my project, I created "The Odyssey Star" a high end galactic cruise ship in the vein of Disney Cruises. However, "The Odyssey Star" has been MIA for years since its maiden voyage. Suddenly it reappears, and the players are scavengers that have arrived to plunder it. Unbeknownst to them, the systems dual AI has been alone a long long time, and there were dark reasons for the disappearance of the ship.
I chose to do this on DnD's open system, my intention is I feel like it is a more well known and accessible system. Often non fantasy genre gets relegated to different systems and remain unpopular due to people's desires to not change systems. However if I were to revisit this, I would explore Tuesday Knight Games Mothership system, as it is rules light and perfect for the science fiction horror genre.

This was a writing/concept forward course, so all art is prelim.
